REPORTS TO: Office Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Receptionist is required by Wesley College Dublin, a post-primary
secondary school, with * pupils. Reporting to
the Office Manager, the role is to welcome visitors, answer and
transfer phone calls and emails. In addition, they will monitor and
administer the attendance of pupils as they enter and exit the campus.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Meeting and greeting visitors, parents and pupils in a friendly and
professional way.
* Dealing with queries from visitors, parents, and pupils and
escalating where necessary.
* Administering the attendance system as pupils enter the exit the
campus, and liaising with the Deputy Principals in the case of any
issues arising.
* To build rapport with the teaching staff and other grounds,
maintenance and office staff to enable good team interactions.
* Undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails,
generating labels and filing.
* Taking in deliveries, post etc. and then sorting and distributing
post, also ensuring franked post is brought to the post office for
mailing as required.
* Co-ordinate large post-outs of letters/certificates to parents.
* Assist with ad-hoc office projects.
CANDIDATE CREDENTIALS
* * years’ experience providing
administrative support in a busy office environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including pleasant telephone
manner, and an assertive, kind and patient attitude.
* Strong time keeping, attendance and work ethic with a flexible
approach to work.
* Excellent time management and organization skills.
* Capable of assessing problems and reacting calmly to resolve them
/ escalating appropriately.
* Proven strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word
and Excel).
* Experience in attendance or booking systems.
* Valid Irish driving licence.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The position is located on a full time basis at Wesley College Dublin
(including school holidays).

* * days holidays plus public holidays. In
addition, a further 5 days before Christmas and New year will be
provided. College contributory pension.
* Office staff MUST take holidays during school holidays and must be
available to work during term time.
* The working day at reception is from 8: *am
to 5pm.
